The Fair City Aquarist Society
is a society of like-minded individuals with an interest in keeping,
breeding and showing fish. We are based in The Fair City of Perth,
Scotland and we hold meetings every second Thursday in The Caladh Centre in Milne
Street, Perth.
A full program of table shows is held over the season as well as talks
on all aspects of fish-keeping from Anabantids to Zebra Danios. We also
have an annual Open Show and auction and we undertake the occasional field
trip.
The Society is a member of the Union of Scottish Aquarists and is
affiliated to the Federation of British Aquarist Societies.
Membership of the Society is open to all, regardless of creed, colour,
gender or age. Junior and family memberships are available.
Topics
for discussions and talks are decided at the regular committee meetings.
Previous topics have included aquarium plants, building your own fish tank,
breeding corydoras catfish, amphibians and reptiles, killiefish and many others. Field trips to nearby ponds and aquatic retail
outlets are also undertaken regularly and there is a program of table shows held
throughout the year.
Annual events include the AGM and prize
giving, the Annual Open Show and the Christmas party.
If you think you might like to join our club,
